今年は聖徳太子の薨去(こうきょ／皇族、または三位以上の貴人の死去)から1400年に当たり、4月10日(土)から5月11日(火)まで、大阪府南河内郡太子町にある磯長山 叡福寺（しながさん えいふくじ）で「聖徳太子1400年御遠忌大法会」が行われる。叡福寺は、四天王寺、法隆寺と並び太子信仰の中核となった寺院で、七堂伽藍と寺宝を多数有する。聖徳太子が622年（推古30年）に薨去後、母・穴穂部間人（あなほべのはしひと）と妃・膳部大郎女（かしわべのおおいらつめ）と共に埋葬された霊廟 全文
