ルトヴェングラーが振ったブルックナーの交響曲第9番は、1944年10月に演奏されたベルリン・フィルとのものが唯一知られています。今回、当CDで復刻に使用したテープは1966年1月25日、旧東ドイツ放送局（Deutschlandsender DDR）より“フルトヴェングラー生誕80年記念”として放送されたものを使用しています（アナウンス付き）。（平林直哉）
