サン＝サーンスの“動物の謝肉祭”をヴァイオリン、ピアノ、ベース、ドラムスの編成で「クロナティック・クァルテット」のピアニスト、ベネディクト・テル・ブラークが編曲。基本的にはサン＝サーンスの原曲に基づきながらも、パガニーニや民謡等のテーマが組み込まれていたり、テル・ブラークの自作やオリジナルな要素もふんだんに盛り込まれた自由度の高いアレンジとなっています
