長田育恵脚本、マックス・ウェブスター演出で初演される『豊饒の海』。三島由紀夫最後の長編小説の舞台化とあって、全容が注目される舞台だ。本番を1週間後に控え、熱を帯びる稽古場を取材した。稽古前、ウェブスターが「楽しんでいきましょう」と全員に声をかけ、1幕の通しがスタート。小説『豊饒の海』は、松枝侯爵の令息・清顕のはかない生涯を描いた第1作『春の雪』と、清顕の親友・本多が清顕の生まれ変わりと信じる3人の人物、勲、ジン・ジャン、透をそれぞれ主軸とする『奔馬』 全文
