長塚圭史演出の音楽劇「モグラが三千あつまって」の開幕を前に7月12日(水)、稽古の一部が公開され、その後、長塚をはじめ、振付の近藤良平、音楽の阿部海太郎、キャストの吉田美月喜、富山えり子、小日向星一、栗原類が出席して会見が行われた。長塚が新国立劇場にて取り組んできた「こどもも大人も楽しめるシリーズ」の4作目となる本作。長塚自身が「9歳の頃に読んで、強い衝撃を受けた」という武井博の児童文学を原作に、モグラ族、ネコ族、イヌ族の食料を巡る攻防を描き出す。吉田 全文
