歌舞伎座新開場十周年「七月大歌舞伎」は、昼の部(11時開演)が『菊宴月白浪(きくのえんつきのしらなみ)』。鶴屋南北が『仮名手本忠臣蔵』の“後日譚”を描いた奇想天外なストーリーだ。夜の部(16時開演)は、渡し守の娘・お舟が愛しい人を命がけで守ろうとする『神霊矢口渡』と、鳶と力士たちが火花を散らす『神明恵和合取組 め組の喧嘩』。最後は華やかな舞踊が楽しめる『鎌倉八幡宮静の法楽舞』の3演目。昼夜共に歌舞伎の多彩なエンタメ性を存分に味わえる。『菊宴月白浪』は“忠臣蔵 全文
