RIAS室内合唱団とベルリン古楽アカデミーが、壮大にして壮麗な戴冠式のための音楽を録音。現在でも、ヘンデルの“戴冠式用アンセム集”の一部は実際に戴冠式などの典礼で演奏されています。ウィリアム・クロフトの作品は、1714年に行われたジョージ1世の戴冠礼拝で演奏されたもの。実に壮麗な音楽を聴きながら英国の歴史までも体感できるような1枚です
