明治座創業百五十周年記念「市川猿之助奮闘歌舞伎公演」と銘打ち上演されるのは、映像作品でも大活躍の猿之助が主演と共同演出を勤める2演目。昼の部は先代の猿之助（現・猿翁）が宝塚歌劇団の植田紳爾に依頼して作ったという“歌舞伎レビュー”『不死鳥よ 波濤を越えて』。夜の部は「三代猿之助四十八撰の内」から猿之助の6役早替りが楽しめる『御贔屓繋馬』。中村壱太郎や中村米吉、中村隼人ら今を時めく若手俳優を配し、中村鴈治郎や市川門之助ら重鎮が舞台を引き締める豪華版。気 全文
