現代演劇を代表する作家トム・ストッパードの最新作『レオポルトシュタット』が新国立劇場にて日本で初めて上演される。9月下旬に稽古の様子が公開された。ストッパードが「最後の作品になるかもしれない」と語り2020年1月のロンドン初演前から大きな話題を呼んだ本作は、ストッパード自身の家族の歴史をモデルに、オーストリア・ウィーンに住むあるユダヤ人の一族が激動の20世紀前半を生きる姿を描き出す。これまでも数々のストッパード作品に携わってきた小川絵梨子が演出を務める。 全文
