しばらく入手困難が続いていた1956年のモントルー音楽祭のライヴ音源をALTUSが復刻。この年は豪華にも2日違いでケンプとミルシテインが登場し、協奏曲を披露していました（ベートーヴェン：ピアノ協奏曲第4番、ドヴォルザーク：ヴァイオリン協奏曲）。オーケストラはどちらもケルン・ギュルツェニヒ管で、指揮者はカイルベルトとクレツキ。指揮者・独奏者の組み合わせで変わる雰囲気の聴き比べもおもしろい、ライヴの熱気をたたえた2つの名演奏です
