2020年1月に演出家・白井晃が芸術監督就任中のプログラムとして創作され、再演を熱望されたドイツ演劇の巨匠ベルトルト・ブレヒトの大作『アルトゥロ・ウイの興隆』が、11月14日、KAAT神奈川芸術劇場にて開幕した。ヒトラーが独裁者として上り詰めていく過程を、シカゴのギャングの世界に置き換えて描き、ジェームス・ブラウンの楽曲を中心にファンク・ミュージックを散りばめた白井の意欲作。初演に続き、主演のアルトゥロ・ウイには草なぎ剛。共演には、神保悟志、渡部豪太、松尾諭 全文
