1952年5月、フルトヴェングラーとベルリン・フィルがミュンヘンで演奏したブラームスの交響曲第2番は、凄まじい演奏内容と音質の明晰さで知られています。当シリーズではGS-2189(2018年)として発売しましたが、今回は同じく2トラック、38センチのオープンリール・テープを復刻の素材とし、リマスターの全行程をプロ用の機器で行い、最善を目ざしました。(平林 直哉)
